Cystitis

is inflammation of the bladder and usually caused by an infection. It may also be caused by irritation or damage.

Urine is made up of water, various toxins and substances that the body is trying to eliminate. An injured bladder can allow urine to reach deeper into the bladder wall where it can directly stimulate nerves and cause irritation.

Certain foods promote inflammation in the body and these foods may be problematic to cystitis. For example, foods high in acid, histamines and sodium may act as a trigger. I can advise you on which foods to eliminate and which anti-inflammatory foods to enjoy.
